Art, Ancestors & the Merkaba-Vortex

James was invited by Margaret Day of the Point Gallery to give his extensive lecture titled Art, Ancestors and the Merkaba-Vortex, accompanied by an exhibition of some of his work that had not yet been shown on Salt Spring Island.
This presentation is an expanded talk on the Merkaba in relation to 20th century art, and is a longer version of his artist presentation on Ancestral Memory first given at the Havana Biennal in 2019. Now expanded to include even more critical, literary and metaphysical quotes as well as images from paintings, architecture and sculpture, it is a 3-hour immersive tour de force presentation.
